I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Fox to anyone requiring cardiology expertise . My own cardiologist referred me for an ablation which Dr Fox performed last week at Wythenshawe hospital . It is always a good sign of credibility and respect when other professionals refer to specific people .
I was very anxious about the ablation ( being a nurse made this worse ) but his calm manner and excellent communication skills did help to allay my anxiety and made me feel safe .
The NHS is very lucky to have Dr Fox and I hope he is looked after to ensure that he continues to make a difference to the lives of many .
There is no improvement required , the whole team from secretaries , nurses, the cath lab staff and Dr Fox are all excellent .

Dr Fox has been informative, practical and helpful with his advice and treatment throughout the various stages of my condition.
He listens to my questions and his answers are in layman terms whenever appropriate, and clearly explains medical terms where necessary. He ensures that you are fully informed of all options, and talks you through these options in an easy and helpful manner.
I would strongly recommend him and his team to anyone with a cardiology condition.

Takes time to explain everything in both medical and general terms. Even draws a diagram if he senses a lack of understanding. Feel he is very honest because he tells the good and the bad.
Everything is followed up - and quickly - which is very reassuring.

Dr David Fox is a highly experienced cardiologist/electrophysiologist in Manchester and has been a consultant for over 10 years.
He spent a period of his training at one of the worlds premier heart rhythm institutes (University of Western Ontario, Canada) working with pioneering cardiologist Professor George J Klein, the author of over 500 medical publications.
Dr Fox specialises in the treatment of all heart rhythm disorders and carries out over 220 ablation procedures annually and has a particular interest in atrial fibrillation ablation (pulmonary vein isolation). He also is fully trained in all aspects of pacemaker/ICD implantation.
He is the lead for cardiac rhythm services at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester and runs the annual audit program to ensure high levels of safety in and quality of the atrial fibrillation ablation program.
